General Motors has announced a recall of Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon mid-size pickup trucks, along with certain Isuzu i280 an i370 pickups, to repair a defect in the child restraint equipment. According to the company, the restraint equipment in the front seat does not fully meet U.S. and Canadian safety regulation standards. Under these conditions, a child placed in the front seat of these vehicles could be a risk for serious injury in a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.
